Another unique benefit that Treasure Valley Hospital offers is the peace of mind that your Anesthesiologist is a Board Certified, Medical Doctor (MD). Your MD Anesthesiologist will be continuously caring for you throughout your surgical experience. This means that from the time you enter the Pre-Op Holding Area (POHA), throughout your entire procedure and after you are placed into the recovery unit (PACU), your MD Anesthesiologist will be caring for you and only you.

Your Treasure Valley Hospital experience begins before you even arrive at our doors. The MD Anesthesiologist, who will be at your side, will call you the evening before you are to arrive. The purpose of this phone call is to learn more about your medical condition and any medications you might be taking so that an anesthetic plan can be formulated that is best suited to fit both you and your surgeon's needs. Your anesthetic options and their corresponding risks and benefits will also be discussed. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. You will also be advised which medications should be taken the morning of your surgery, when you should stop eating and drinking, and when you should arrive at the hospital.
